Financial Planning – Preparation of Annual Operating Plan and oversight for a function with cost base of approx. USD40m and 400 members of staff globally. Responsible owner of all planning, monthly forecasting, business cost allocations and corresponding consumer billing. Also included Headcount Management and reporting, People Strategy, Market Data Cost management, Global Cost Allocation etc.
Reviewing the monthly business activity, preparing Monthly finance statements and accurate forecasting. Providing analytical support to explain balances, movements and trends in operating expenses. Driving continuous improvement of Finance processes, production and highlighting costs drivers.
Expense approval and tracking of all Indirect cost for the department, status report published monthly for better visibility.
Manage Accruals and Prepayments, correction of Journals and Ledger management.
Primary responsibility was to performing gap analysis between HBEU and HBUS customer due diligence as part of HBEU Expansion Project. Undertaking sufficient Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence on the client, to understand its business activities and the level of business activity expected.
Verifying the legal structure through Business Information Website/Company Registry/Regulators website. In-depth research on the client and identifying the PEPs (Politically Exposed Persons) and enhanced due diligence who are related to the client.
As a Fraud Analyst, the main task was to keep a track on the card usage (debit & credit) of our UK based clients and check for any unusual and suspicious pattern in spending. It also involved blocking or closing of the customers’ accounts if required.
