Professional Experience – Key Responsibilities & Achievements

  • Support Promoter Family and Head – Cotton Sourcing in strategic decision-making through in-depth analysis of global and domestic cotton markets.
  • Track and analyze daily flat prices, basis trends, and market structure across key origins (India, USA, Australia, Pakistan, WAF, EAF).
  • Monitor fundamentals including arrivals, MSP dynamics, crop progress, monsoon trends, and global supply-demand (WASDE) to assess market direction.
  • Conduct technical analysis using price patterns, open interest, volume, and certified stocks across exchanges (ICE, MCX).
  • Analyze global macroeconomics, cross-commodity correlations (especially edible oils vs cottonseed), and their market impact.
  • Evaluate ginner and cottonseed crushing unit profitability to assess supply-side behavior in India.
  • Track US cotton classing data (quality parameters, bale eligibility) and changes in premium/discount structures.
  • Monitor US export sales, shipment pace, and global demand distribution across importing countries.
  • Analyze on-call positions, fixation trends, and rollover risks across ICE contracts.
  • Develop domestic supply-demand balance sheets, including production, mill consumption, stock patterns, and ending stock projections.
  • Track CFTC positioning (producers, speculators, swap dealers, index funds) to gauge market sentiment.
  • Identify and recommend value-driven domestic and international sourcing opportunities.
  • Independently handle international and domestic cotton procurement.
  • Supervise import execution, ensuring timely shipment, compliance, and cost optimization in coordination with brokers and logistics teams.
  • Act as single point of contact for forward on-call domestic purchases and ensure seamless post-delivery execution.
