1. Specifications, Engineering, Testing and Commissioning of following systems for thermal generation stations.

Generator and transformer Protections:

· Engineering for Generator protection philosophy and protection settings

· Understanding of Relay Algorithms

· Verification of Generator and transformer protection Schemes

· Testing of Generator and transformer protection relays.

Brushless and Static Excitation Systems:

· Engineering, FAT and commissioning of excitation systems in New thermal projects.

· Upgrade of Static and Brushless Excitation system in existing thermal stations.

· AVR & PSS testing including Gain Margin test, Step response test and Frequency response tests.

· Study and enhancement of Limiter and PSS functions with respect to the capability curves and co-ordination with existing protection functions.

High Sampling Disturbance Recorders:

· Advance High Sampling Disturbance Recorder - For new thermal projects as well as replacements in existing thermal stations.

· Configuration and testing, triggering philosophy and auto-polling features.

· Testing of DR devices from different OEMs; AMETEK - TR3000, GE - DR60 and QUALITROL IDM36+

2. Analysis, troubleshooting and remote support for the faults, critical incidents and occurrences related to the above mentioned systems.

3. Improvisations in the protection philosophy and settings with respect to application requirements across the sites.

• Engineering, testing and commissioning of SCADA Systems - ABB & NARI
• Control and interlocks Logics for Switchyards.
• Engineering, testing and commissioning of communication system - PLCC and FOTE Systems.
• Understanding of communication protocols IEC 61850, OPC, IEC 101 & IEC 104.
• Engineering review, Factory Acceptance Testing & commissioning for SCADA and communication systems for new generation & transmission substations projects.
• Configuration of Ethernet Switches, VLANs and Protocol gateways.
• Configuration of GPS and time Synchronization aspects for various systems.
• GOOSE communication between multiple OEM IEDs.
• Analysis of Wireshark Network logs.
• Key Projects - Online retrofitting of PLCC in 400 kV substation, 400 kV/220 kV SCADA and PLCC commissioning for Morena Substation, Upgradation of ABB MicroSCADA for Mundra 220 kV Substation etc.
• Configuration of protocol converter devices

1. Preventive Maintenance, troubleshooting and condition monitoring of Generators, Transformers, DC system and HT& LT Switchgears and drives.

2. Overhauling experience of Generators (up to 660MW), Transformers (up to 400 MVA), DC system and HT& LT Switchgears and drives.

3. Commissioning of HT & LT Switchgears and drives.

4. Proficiency in maintenance and troubleshooting of following Systems:

• Generators
• Brushless & Static Excitation System
• HT & LT Switchgears & drives
• Power transformers and service transformers
• DC Systems – Battery and Chargers.
