Accomplishments

TRADE-OFF ANALYSIS OF WATER ELECTROLYSIS PROPULSION FOR SPACE PROPULSION APPLICATIONS at University of Surrey

  • Preliminary design of a water electrolysis thruster was done using nozzle flow field modelling using CEA
  • A MATLAB code was developed to estimate nozzle exit and throat diameter based on the chosen area ratio (AR), combustion chamber pressure (pc) and Mixture Ratio (MR)
  • WEP tradeoff analysis for a reference GTO to GEO transfer of 2.3875 km/s, was performed with respect to conventional NTO-MMH propulsion system
  • WEP is found efficient than the conventional propellants when split burn of most intense burn (MIB) strategy was used

EARTH RE-ENTRY TRAJECTORY OPTIMISATION at IIST

  • Final year project was done on the topic EARTH RE-ENTRY TRAJECTORY OPTIMISATION FOR SHIFT IN LANDING SITE
  • A C++ code was written for a module re-entering through earth atmosphere and the effect of change of landing site over Trajectory was determined
  • Angle of attack modulation was used while trajectory optimisation and optimised trajectories were produced for different latitudes and longitudes

SUN SYNCHRONOUS POLAR ORBIT (SSPO) DESIGN at ISTRACK Bengaluru

  • Sun synchronous polar orbit design code was written in C++ Linux based software and characteristics were matched with an existing research paper
  • Subsequently, new results were produced for India specific satellites

Other Activities

Participated in Post Launch Activities of various ISRO satellite launch missions at their Satellite Tracking Centres.

Additional Information
