- Introduction of ground improvement work in place of pile work after requirement detailing with architect and identifying ground improvement vendor resulting in cost savings of almost 20 Cr.
- Reduced cost by value engineering & requirement analysis for Hettich’s ancillary project by approx. 30% in infra & electrical works.
- Saved almost 2% capital cost by splitting construction contract, in order to get GST tax benefit.
- Got column design change in Bus plant project & saved steel cost of around 2.0 MINR, which later benefited in other projects too.
- Introduced more than 5 different vendors in 2016 for works like concrete densification, motorized shutters etc. which drop down rates of old vendors by 20%-40%, which resulted in approx. 6.0 MINR savings across different projects in FY16-17.
- Did audit of Property tax bill and submitted detail report to the government agency which helped VECV Pithampur plant to save Rs 2 lakh per year, got appreciation letter for the same.
- Suggestion and detailing with experts for identification of machine foundation and getting cost benefit as per laws for construction related to machine foundations. Project GST benefit ranging from 6% - 1% of overall cost depending on construction.
- Selection of right product for right application & segregation of components to directly ordered or to be kept in scope of main contractor in order to save project cost by 3-5%.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Responsible for facility setup of entire Hettich & ancillary company with two different green field projects.
- Facility setup involved construction work, electrical works, HVAC works, firefighting & compressed air line works. MIS, documentation & presentations preparation for reports & reviews to the higher management.
- All major infrastructure project planning & proposal preparation for yearly Business plan kick off. Bill checking auditor for other infrastructure of Hettich India & sister concern of Company.
- Getting all infra & facility related laisoning works & bill payments.
- Modification of layouts in Auto Cad for offices, machine layout planning & other related internal approval works.
- Liaising with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors & external agencies for determining technical specifications, approvals and obtaining statutory clearances
- Managing the project start-up contracts including material reconciliation, bills, payment, progress status, agreements, formulation and negotiations of contracts in coordination with internal and external commercial teams
- Coordinating with external agencies for techno-commercial negotiations, including billing, variation/ deviation proposals, claims, and so on
- Supervising all construction activities including providing technical inputs for methodologies of construction & coordination with site management activities
- Preparing bills for payments and estimating quantities/order of materials for construction
- Analyzing scope of work to be issued to contractor, administering technical terms as per project specifications, drawings and contractual terms
