- My job scope is to conduct quality checks of fabrication and welding activities at project Workshop for JCRDLIS & PRLIS - P1, P5, P8, P16 & PSP-Pumped storage Hydro project pinnapuram. Quality of fusion welded structural components, Embedded parts for Draft tube gates&Service gates &Emergency Gates and Lifting arrangements of gates like 75MT&135MT&170MT&250MT Hoist bridges & storage tanks shall be inspected to meet the requirements of customer specification/applicable IS2825,IS14177,ASME-II, ASME-V, ASME-VIII,ASME-IX.&AWS Standards.
- Areas covered during inspection and monitoring are
- Receive raw material as per the MIN (Material Issuing Note), and its Visual inspection (checking for grooves, scratches, sweep, buckling and camber).
- Inspection of all Incoming Material Inspection as per the standards.
- Review of Electrode/filler wire MTC and control of handling.
- Welder qualifications and deployment of welders.
- Execution and supervision of pipe rack structural and equipment structural work in accordance with specification with adherence to quality and safety policy.
- Fit Up inspection, Dimension, Alignment and assembly works.
- Actively involved in the fabrication of Steel Structural work like Column, Purling, Monitor, Truss, Girder of Pipe Rack, Compressor Shelter, Reactor Structure, powerhouse super structure etc.
- Inspection of weldments before, during and after welding.
- Carry out daily painting inspections and measure coating sheet including required paint test and acceptance for various structures as Beams, Columns, Bracings, Frames& star columns etc...
- Witness NDT of welded components, UT Interpretation &RT Film review.
- Reviewing the External and Internal Grit blasting Inspection Roughness profile, the final inspection of coating like DFT, Salt Testing and Adhesion Testing etc. To ensure the production & quality of the applied coating as per specifications.
- Preparation and review of documentation for Project scope.
- Attending daily, weekly and monthly meeting with contractor and client to discuss scope, progress, quality and HSE issues.

- Worked as QA/QC Inspector with OCS-Infinite Consortium for OSTT Jetty to SS Jetty 24” HSD Subsea pipeline project and Fabrication of Caission gate and 200Ton Non Propellor water barges.
- Project is part of HPCL Visakhapatnam Refinery expansion and VVSPPL pipeline.
- Reported to project QA/QC Manager and looked after all field inspection and quality related activities from dealing with vendors, material inspection, monitoring all welding operations and welding consumable control, field joint coating, NDT, mechanical activities and represented company at site quality meetings with PMC RINA and client HPCL.
- Project consists of 24” 3LPE CWC subsea pipeline installation with scrapper launcher at OSTT Offshore Jetty and Receiver at onshore SS Jetty and associated station piping and flow monitoring equipment at both stations. After completion of pipeline installation, worked for completion of piping at onshore and offshore jetties, flooding, gauging and testing, pre commissioning, as-built document preparation and submission along with final material reconciliation.
