Oshin Deepak

1. Pursuing Ph.D. titled "Palaeoclimatic studies on high altitude lakes in Western Himalayas" at the Centre of Advanced Studies in Geology, University of Lucknow, funded by Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Delhi.

Undertook field works at Kareri Lake, Dhauladhar Range; carried out geomorphological, palaeoclimatological and remote sensing studies.

2. Took Geomorphology and Physical Geology theory lectures at the Centre of Advanced Studies in Geology, University of Lucknow.

3. Published research papers:

"Rapid lake level fall in Pangong Tso (lake) in Ladakh, NW Himalaya: a response of late Holocene aridity" in Current Science

"Pollen and δ13C based reconstructions of vegetation and climate history during the last 15.2ka in the Parvati valley, western Himalaya" Journal of Asian Earth Sciences.

4. Conducted multiple field works in Himalayas and Central India:

Himalayas- Kareri Lake, Dharamshala area, Western Himalayas; Almora Crystalline Complex, Lesser Himalayas of Garhwal and Kumaon region; Shivalik Range

Central India- Vindhyan - Bundelkhand region, Jabalpur region.

5. Conducted practical classes for undergraduate and post-graduate students in Structural Geology, Palaeontology and Economic Geology.
