Role: Azure Integration Developer.

Description: The Football Association (FA) is the governing body of association football in England, and is the oldest football association in the world. It oversees all aspects of the game—both amateur and professional—within its jurisdiction.

Skills and tools used: ASP.NET MVC Core, .NET Core, C#, APIM, SQL Server, LINQ, web-based applications, Visual Studio, Service Bus, Azure Functions, Windows services (legacy), ADF, Storage Accounts, Application Insights, and Application Gateway.

Responsibilities:

• Data Integration Architecture: Architect and implement end-to-end data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for batch and ETL processes.
  
• API Development & Management: Develop secure and scalable RESTful APIs using .NET Core and ASP.NET Web API to expose and consume data across systems.
  Integrate APIs with Azure API Management for governance, throttling, and monitoring.
  
• Cloud-Native Services: Leverage Azure Function Apps for lightweight, serverless compute tasks triggered by events, queues, or HTTP requests.
  
• Messaging & Event Handling: Implement asynchronous messaging patterns using Azure Service Bus (queues and topics) to decouple systems and ensure reliable communication.
  Handle dead-letter queues, message retries, and message handling.
  
• Data Movement & Transformation: Build and monitor ADF pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and movement across cloud storage, databases, and external APIs.
  Integrate with Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and other data sources.
  
• Security & Compliance: Ensure secure data transmission using OAuth2, Azure AD, and Managed Identities.
  Store secrets and credentials securely using Azure Key Vault.
  
• Monitoring & Logging: Implement logging and telemetry using Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor.
  Set up alerts and dashboards for proactive issue detection and resolution.
  
• Legacy Integration: Maintain and modernize Windows Services for legacy system integration, with a roadmap to migrate to Azure WebJobs or Function Apps.
  

Project: WireLink (Banking)

Role: .NET Developer.

Description: It is a web-based payment processing system used by First American to transmit funds information from the FAST interface partner to various banks. In turn, it receives statuses from the banks to post the status, along with the TRN/Reason for rejection, back to the FAST System. It helps in monitoring transactional information from the interface partner to the Banking System based on user role authentication. It keeps polling the bank services to get the wire statuses and process them further. It uses Azure AD to authenticate the different users, who all are part of the AD group. It is based on the PaaS model and hosted as an App Service in the Azure environment.
