General Manager- Consumer Finance, Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services Ltd (September 2019- till date)

As a part of Consumer Finance Business (Digital Lending) in MMFSL, am driving key Strategic business operations including Digital Personal Loan, Merchant Acquisition, Embedded Finance& Rural Lending business, strategy to structure the growth plan for and owning the P&L generated through each business. I am setting up two different BU’s – Digital Consumer Loans & Merchant Acquisition.

Digital Consumer Loans

  • Setting up Salaried Personal Loan Business, successful Pilot initiated with M&M Group Employees. Building up a new age Digital Platform to manage Salaried Personal Loans.
  • Building Embedded Finance Business for Consumer Loans with focus on creating different underwriting models for Urban &rural customers. Building different categories for Consumer Finance and driving adoption of Mobile only applications, embedding payments & Line of credit from MMFSL.
  • Customer Acquisition - Interacting with Online merchants for Issuance tie-ups/propositions for line of credit & driving new customer acquisition strategies through Dealer assisted POS lending, Deep Integrations, Preapproved/Prequalified customers sourcing, sourcing from Kiosks, sourcing through Contact center and partnering with large programs.
  • Evaluation of Aggregators & Fintech’s – Defined Key Business Requirements, to define the required operational capabilities and assess the offerings of Fintech partners to assess Opportunities & Risks related to Onboarding Aggregators. Merchant and Aggregator Business and Product Line Setup for Line of credit acceptance. Drive strategic alliances with key partners (Fintech’s, Aggregators, Ecom Companies and Payment Companies) to leverage their existing networks.

Head Merchant Acquisition

  • Setting up Merchant Network –Executing the Sales strategy on merchant acquisition for offline & Online merchants to create Proprietary merchant network. Defining the GTM to manage sales & relationship with retailers.
  • Partnerships- Finalized deals with some Large PG’s, Payment Players and Fintech’s, also have created a strong pipeline of Fintech partners through new age lending & acquisition models.
  • Evaluation of OEM Module Transaction Authorization & FRM systems–Created RFB and detailed requirement sheet for developing a Proprietary OEM module, Merchant mgmt. System, Transaction Authorization system and Fraud& Risk mgmt. system. Involved in creating Platform to manage merchant life cycle and related integrations with different Platforms, internal systems and solutions.
  • Integrations-Setting up products which will enable Loan processing via Ecom capabilities through PG application, working with cross functional teams to manage Alliances and Integrations with different Payment & Ecom companies & aggregators providing POS solutions and PG solutions.
