- Apart from dealing with growing floorplan, timing, routing and fabrication complexities, Genesis provided an opportunity to work on completely new areas like SOC power grid management, designing BGA packages, thermal analysis of packages, one-die-multiple-package designs, constraints for optical shrink.
- The other enjoyable things which filled up troughs during lull periods
- - Writing wrappers around EDA tools to get what industry leading tools could not achieve.
- - Creating Visual Basic scripts to enhance spreadsheet capability in project tracking and data analysis. Also helped finance and IT teams with customized scripts for them. (Almost like job work but for free).
