Project Summary:

The IBM Spectrum Virtualize product family, including SAN Volume Controller (SVC) and IBM Flash Systems such as FS9150, FS7300 etc has iSCSI & iSER Host Attach along with iSer Clustering capability to connect storage using RDMA technologies such as iWARP and RoCE to provide lower latency with high performance in high-speed Ethernet datacenters.

The objective of this project is to run Performance benchmark across IBM Flash System products using IBM CSOP & Oracle vdbench IO tool through perfauto automation framework. In addition, handling customer cases as L3 support to resolve performance issues seen on production environment

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, execute, and report on performance benchmark testing for IBM FlashSystem storage solutions.
• Develop performance benchmark testing plans and scripts to simulate various workloads and test scenarios, including random read/write, sequential read/write, and mixed workloads.
• Use various performance benchmark testing tools, including IOmeter, vdbench, and CSOP, to collect performance data and analyze results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including storage architects, system administrators, and developers, to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues.
• Conduct regular performance tuning and capacity planning for IBM FlashSystem storage solutions to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  Maintain documentation for performance benchmark testing, including test plans, scripts, and performance reports.
• Perform CPU profiling using the Linux perf tool to debug high CPU core usage and plot graphs using Flame graph for better visualization.
• File defects against performance problems with initial analysis and track them to closure with development.

Project Summary:

The IBM Spectrum Virtualize product family, including SAN Volume Controller (SVC) and the Storwize family, has capability to virtualize iSCSI attached backend storage using 10G/25G adapters along with 25G iSER HA & iSER Clustering.

ISCSI Virtualization and Migration feature migrates data seamlessly from iSCSI controllers to Storwize internal SAS storage, backend Fiber Channel Storage and vice versa. iSER enables Ethernet datacenter to achieve high IOPS, throughput with low latency.

Roles & Responsibility:

• Led team of 8 - 10 team members to qualify mainstream and patch releases.
• Understanding test requirements for supported features such as iSCSI Virtualization, 25G iSER HA & Clustering through DCR.

Project Summary:

PowerPath is multipathing product with variety of features such as failover and load balancing, PowerPath Migration etc. For EMC and third-party storage arrays supported on different OS platforms such as Linux, Solaris and ESX Server

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Actively led a team of 5-6 members and worked qualifying PowerPath sustenance/main releases on Linux platforms for EMC arrays
• Understanding Software Requirements Specification (SRS) for specific build releases
• Design test cases for different PowerPath releases qualification as part of Patch/Hotfix release cycle
• Delegating weekly assignments and updating weekly status using HPQC Dashboard

The main objective of this project is to carry out independent VMware HCL testing for various storage vendors, including AMI and FalconStor. These hardware vendors ensure that their equipment configurations are compatible with VMware ESX and ESXi servers. The HCL testing involves certifications such as:

• iSCSI Array Certification (Software Initiator)
• iSCSI Array Certification (Hardware Initiator)
