Job Role

HT/LT Motor Maintenance & troubleshooting of Motors.

Motors Dismantling,inspection,bearing replacement and alignment.

  • Performed preventive and predictive maintenance of HT motors (3.3kV/6.6kV/11kV) and LT motors (415V) to ensure high equipment reliability and zero unplanned downtime.
  • Conducted electrical testing including IR/PI testing, winding resistance, HV withstand tests, surge tests , and current signature analysis to assess motor health.
  • Executed vibration analysis, thermography, bearing condition monitoring, and alignment checks (laser/dial gauge) as part of PdM strategy.
  • Troubleshot and resolved motor failures such as winding burnouts, bearing failures, rotor defects, terminal faults, cooling issues , and insulation breakdowns.
  • Carried out complete motor overhauling involving dismantling, inspection, bearing replacement, rotor–stator cleaning, balancing, and final testing.
  • Supported motor removal, installation, shaft alignment , and commissioning at plant locations in coordination with operations and other maintenance teams.
  • Ensured full compliance with LOTO , electrical safety, arc-flash protection, and PTW procedures during all maintenance activities.
  • Prepared detailed PM/PdM reports, breakdown analysis (RCA), test records, and SAP maintenance documentation.
  • Collaborated with OEMs, vendors, and workshop teams to improve motor reliability and optimize spare consumption.
  • Contributed to energy efficiency initiatives by identifying motor performance issues, overload patterns, and improvement opportunities.
