Hate Speech Detection On Social Media Platforms
The practice of recognizing and categorizing language that is regarded as damaging or hurtful to individuals or groups based on traits such as race, gender, religion, and sexual orientation is known as hate speech detection, and information exchange, and the growing use of social media have greatly benefited humanity Yet, this has also resulted in a number of issues, such as the dissemination and sharing of hate speech messages. Therefore, subsequent studies used single-feature engineering approaches and machine learning algorithms to automatically recognize hate speech messages on various datasets in order to address this new problem on social media sites. To the best of our knowledge, however, there has not been any research on how various feature engineering techniques and machine learning algorithms perform on a common dataset that is made publicly available This research compares the performance of two feature engineering techniques and four machine learning algorithms in order to assess how well they perform on a dataset that is freely available
