This project involved migrating from an on-premises ETL design using DataStage to Informatica Cloud, integrating Hive as the on-prem database and Redshift/Aurora as cloud databases, with AWS S3 for file storage.

My Responsibilities included collaborating with project managers, developers, and customers to resolve technical issues, optimizing legacy code, and implementing reusable jobs. The project also involved converting IBM DataStage code to Informatica Cloud, optimizing long-running jobs using advanced mode in IDMC, and translating Hive SQL queries to Redshift and Aurora. Additionally, I managed code migrations through GitHub, enhanced data validation with user-defined functions, and optimized data processing on elastic clusters.

Project #2: CCB-OPT-CCS & IDMS Tech Refresh and DCM

(Data Migration From Sybase to Oracle 19c Cloud)

Timeline: June 2021 to February 1st, 2023

This project involved migrating all existing Sybase database objects (procedures, views, triggers, tables, etc.) and data to the Oracle GOS platform.

My Responsibilities included creating corresponding roles and profiles in Oracle, performing end-to-end testing of migrated objects, and using Pentaho for data migration from Sybase to Oracle. I converted all database objects across various schemas and conducted unit testing to ensure efficient performance. Data mapping was performed to ensure complete data migration, and jobs were scheduled for RCN batch processing. Additionally, I managed deployment during production moves, prioritized project deliverables, and translated business requirements into technical specifications. I also managed the data load process, conducted testing, and created documentation for data conversion and transition to operations.

Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HPQ), a leading global information technology organization, operates 89 data marts worldwide.

As part of HP-IT GADSC, my team focused on integrating three key data marts from the Image and Printing Group (IPG) into high-availability servers for an Enterprise Data Warehouse project. This involved migrating applications from Informatica 7.x on Windows servers to Informatica Shared Services 2.0 and Informatica 8.6 on HP-UX servers. My role included implementing change requests, creating ETLs for new applications, and optimizing mappings with various transformations. I also attended client conferences, conducted extensive testing, and managed deployments during production moves, ensuring performance tuning and data validation.
