KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:

Cost Optimization

• Implemented self-hosted GitHub runners on EC2, dynamically provisioning and terminating instances during runtime to significantly reduce GitHub Actions runner costs.
• Automated non-business hours environment shutdown using AWS EventBridge and Lambda, based on environment-specific tags, leading to reduced operational expenses.
• Utilized the Serverless Framework with AWS Lambda for automation tasks, minimizing infrastructure overhead.
• Conducted container rightsizing using AWS Cost Explorer insights to optimize CPU and memory allocation, improving resource efficiency.

Automation
• Automated environment lifecycle management (create, update, delete) triggered via Jira tickets, using webhooks, API Gateway, Lambda, and Terraform.
• Built GitHub Actions workflows for:
1. Automatic PR creation for infrastructure changes,

2. Environment updates through Terraform deployments.

Reusable Modules
• Developed generic Terraform modules to deploy complete microservices, promoting reusability and standardization.
• Designed and implemented 3-tier architecture modules for both AWS and Azure environments using Terraform.

Container Promotion
• Engineered a container promotion strategy:
1. Built images in lower environments and pushed them to a centralized ECR account.
2. Automated image replication and pipeline triggers across environments via EventBridge.
3. Promoted the same image to staging and production based on version tags.
• Achieved end-to-end automation for container promotions, reducing build times and enabling early vulnerability detection in lower environments.

• Created and configured AWS EMR with Apache Hudi using Cloud Formation.

• Configured IAM roles and permissions for EMR to access S3 folders and Apache Hudi to use Glue Data Catalog

• Troubleshoot any permission issues or EMR cluster start up issues

•Created Azure Data Factory pipelines to load csv files into SQL tables. •Created Dynamic ADF pipelines to Copy Tables from On-Premise to cloud.

• Worked on creating scheduled Triggers for ADF Pipelines.

• Successfully created the Linked Services on the source and as well for the destination servers.

• Building the pipelines to copy/move the data from source to destination in Azure Data Factory (ADF V2).
