Project Description: Worked for InterContinental Hotels Group as Cloud DBA & Site reliability Engineer(2021-24). Currently working as DC tower lead for MRC Global.

My roles and responsibilities as DC Tower Manager:

• Plan and coordinate data centre activities including installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Liaise with clients to ensure adherence to service-level agreements and achievement of delivery objectives.
• Evaluate emerging tools and technologies and coordinate there integration in the environment.
• Manage the DC team leading to there day to day success in delivery.

Roles and responsibilities as SRE were as below:

• Implement, improve & maintain enterprise cloud-based applications.
• Automate, scale, and manage AWS/GCP Infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Identify and improve on possible points of failure in the infrastructure/applications.
• Participate in stress, security, and performance testing.
• Implement Monitoring using AppDynamics and other cloud solutions.

Project Description: Worked for Covanta Energy as Cloud SRE and Database Administrator.

My roles and responsibilities were as below:

• Implement, improve & maintain enterprise cloud-based applications.
• Automate, scale, and manage our cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Identify and improve on possible points of failure in the infrastructure/applications.
• Participate in stress, security, and performance testing.
• Performing Database migration to AWS RDS/EC2/GCP CloudSQL.
• Ensure Database performance & Security.
• Gathering and implementing requirements and designing Database infrastructure.
• Enable team to implement Covanta Database strategy.

Project Description : Working in a dedicated account in Banking domain with a rich environment encompassing all version of SQL servers and database sizes up to 10 TB.

My roles and responsibilities as a Core DBA were as below:

• Establish and build strong working relations and partnerships with Business Units, Clients & Management.
• Provide escalated support for on any issues related to SQL Server administration.
• Perform database deployments and provide support for application releases.
• Creating automated solutions for SQL deployment and management.
• Supporting following versions of SQL Server 2005/2008/2008R2/2012/2014/2016 on-Premise and on Cloud.
• Implementation and troubleshooting of High Availability: Mirroring, Log Shipping, Replication & AlwaysON.
• SQL cluster Maintenance (active/active and active/passive).
• Maintaining and implementing data policies, standards and models.
• SQL Server build and creating standard build design/Pattern Guide for implementation in Virtual private cloud for the client.
• Engaging Vendor (Microsoft support) to resolve CritSit situations if required.
• Managing all the field level technical deliveries and leading the team whenever required.

Project Description: Worked as part of GOLSQL team managing multiple clients like Network Rails, Royal Mail Group, Nobel Biocare, National Grid, Nissan, Bombardier Transport etc. on a leveraged team model. My team is responsible for all day to day activities on the accounts with involve looking into the incidents we receive on tools like Remedy, USD, Chipre etc and working with the application team and stake holders to create plans and implement Changes following CSC core processes.

• Supported environments with following flavours of SQL Server i.e. 7.0/2000/2005/2008/2008R2.
• Implementation and troubleshooting of High Availability I.e. Mirroring, Log Shipping and Replication.
• SQL cluster installation (active/active and active/passive).
• Perform database deployments and provide support for application releases.
• Maintaining and implementing data policies, standards and models.
• SQL Server Jobs/Maintenance plans troubleshooting.
• Managing all the field level technical deliveries and leading the team whenever required.
• Worked with problem management team to resolve reoccurring issues.
• SQL Server upgrades/patching in standalone as well as clustered environments.

Project Description : MSIT – PSITOps (Microsoft Infrastructure): I started my career with Infosys Technologies Ltd. and got a very challenging environment to learn and groom myself as a tech. I worked with Microsoft as a vendor and supported one of the largest SQL Environment of the world at that time which contained almost 5000 SQL Instances. My team was responsible for the resolution of Incidents which were created for alerts raised on MOM, customer mails and calls for which also involved various SQL issues, installations, cluster installations and Set ups.

My roles and responsibilities as a Core DBA were as below:

• The environment supported SQL Server 2000/2005/2008R2.
• Implementation and troubleshooting of High Availability i.e. Log Shipping, mirroring and Replication.
• SQL Server Jobs/Maintenance plans troubleshooting.
• Configured various maintenance jobs to improve the overall performance of the server.
• SQL Server upgrades in standalone as well as clustered environments.
• Troubleshooting of blocking and Deadlocks in SQL server.
• SQL server monitoring and incident resolution.
• Supporting change management process by planning, creating & implementing changes.
