JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct routine site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions; initiate immediate corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Enforce adherence to HSE rules, local regulations, and company safety procedures among all levels of the workforce, including contractors and sub-contractors.
- Organize and conduct HSE training programs such as workplace safety, work at height, first aid, road safety, and motivation sessions to enhance safety awareness.
- Facilitate employee induction and refresher training programs for new and existing personnel to ensure awareness of safety protocols.
- Lead safety campaigns, in-house awareness programs, and safety competitions to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Monitor implementation of safe work practices during construction, operation, and maintenance phases at project sites.
- Implement and manage the Work Permit System (PTW), including conducting regular safety audits and inspections.
- Promote a strong safety culture in alignment with company Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) policies and legal requirements.
- Conduct and assist in incident/accident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and present findings during safety committee meetings.
- Address and resolve safety concerns raised by various departments; coordinate corrective actions and escalate technical/safety issues to relevant authorities.
- Review and assist contractors in updating Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), and work procedures as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain Training & PPE Matrix, activity-specific safety checklists, and the comprehensive Safety Manual.
- Maintain records of all incidents, injuries, and property damages; ensure timely reporting and documentation for corrective/preventive actions.
