I have an EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) background with over 5 + years of experience across diverse industries, including Project Execution, Dairy Plants, Animal Feed Production, Spray Dryer Facilities for Milk Powder, and Electrical Safety Management.
I am qualified with a Master's degree (ME) in Industrial Safety Engineering , approved by the Director of Tamil Nadu Industrial Safety & Health and the Tamil Nadu Safety Officers Association. I also hold a Bachelor's degree (BE) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Experienced in identifying potential hazards and implementing safety measures to mitigate risks. Utilizes strong communication and training skills to ensure strict compliance with safety regulations. Demonstrates expertise in conducting thorough incident investigations and developing appropriate corrective actions.
Highly organized and dependable candidate adept at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. Proactively takes on additional responsibilities to contribute towards achieving team goals.
In my current organization, my role as a Safety Officer focuses on preventing accidents, responding to emergencies, and evaluating the effectiveness of the company's safety programs. I proactively identify safety hazards, conduct thorough investigations, and implement effective control measures to eliminate risks before incidents occur.
Additionally, I handle compliance with PCB (Pollution Control Board) norms and continuously work on developing a strong safety culture by implementing various engineering technologies and improvements on a daily basis.
In my previous role, I gained valuable experience in managing employees who were older and more experienced than me, which helped me develop strong leadership and communication skills. I learned extensively from that project, both technically and in team management.
During the project, I successfully achieved the best safety performance, maintaining an excellent safety record over a significant number of man-hours without incidents.
I am quick to adapt to new environments and eager to expand my knowledge continuously. I have completed my BSS Safety Diploma, earned an IOSH certificate, and I am currently attending classroom training for the NEBOSH International General Certificate, conducted by Safety Professionals.
I enjoy traveling to different places and learning new things to enhance my personal and professional development. My previous work experience spans multiple disciplines, including HVAC systems, wooden dust collection, ductwork, and electrical installation.
Following a major project, my senior management encouraged me to pursue a Master's degree in Industrial Safety (Mechanical Engineering field). During my academic journey, I completed several projects focused on high-risk and accident-prone industries, particularly the fireworks industry. My final projects covered chemical hazards (fireworks manufacturing), electrical hazards (ESD - static electricity and discharging), and mechanical hazards (thermo-analytical studies). Notably, one segment of my project on a fireworks product ("Twinkling Star") was highly praised by an external examiner, who suggested applying for a patent.
In addition to my technical skills, I am passionate about reading and constantly updating my knowledge through books and professional experiences. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master's degree in Industrial Safety Engineering, giving me strong multidisciplinary expertise across electrical, mechanical, and safety fields.
