Conducted outpatient consultations in obstetrics and gynecology, managed inpatient care through ward rounds and emergency interventions, assisted in surgeries and conducted normal vaginal deliveries under supervision of the consultant, led junior staff, prepared handover and discharge summaries, and ensured patient-centered care with a focus on recovery, safety, and dignity.
Rotated through core medical and surgical departments, managing patients under supervision. I was part of the review and analysis of patient medical records as part of a quality improvement project. Identified documentation deficiencies, presented findings to the clinical team, and contributed to implementing improved record-keeping practices.
Managerial role:
As part of departmental teaching programme I actively took part in organising monthly presentation topics and daily ward activities, prioritising clinical tasks, and ensuring patient safety during busy shifts. I facilitated effective handovers, liaised between nurses, senior clinicians, and allied health professionals, and supported junior colleagues in task management and decision-making when needed.
