Prabhakar, born in 1955, is a highly experienced visiting professor at the Anna Institute of Administrative Staff College and Highway Research Station, Government of Tamil Nadu teaching IAS, IES, IFS officers and other employees. He specializes in Ethics, Communication, Psychology of retirement, and Public Policy. With a rich background of 40 years in teaching and research across various management and policy research areas, Prabhakar is also an assessor for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). His research interests are deeply rooted in addressing poverty, inequality, malnutrition, mental health, occupational health, and verbal autopsy. As an Oxford University scholar, Prabhakar contributed to the Oxford Poverty and Development Initiative and worked on the Multidimensional Poverty Index. He has published sixty-nine papers in international journals, demonstrating his prolific contribution to academia. He has honed his expertise in teaching Qualitative Research to doctoral scholars from prestigious institutions such as IIT Delhi, Central University of Jammu, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Azim Premji University, and the Central University of Tripura. Prabhakar’s educational pedigree includes training at IIM Calcutta (IIM(C)) and a doctoral dissertation on Social Forecasting from Aligarh Muslim University. His scholarly achievements are recognized by scholarships from the Modigliani Foundation in Italy and the privilege of being student of three Nobel laureates at ISEO School.
