  • As RC of Evidence Action, my main role is to coordinate with district and block level officials of Education Department, Women and Child Development Department, Health Department, Tribal Welfare Department at regional/district level to ensure that all service providers are trained for capacity building of ground level service providers like School Nodal Teacher, ASHA, Anganwadi Worker, to ensure that all service providers are trained in all government and private schools, all Anganwadi centers in 3 districts of Madhya Pradesh (Khandwa, Khargone and Burhanpur) for supplementation of iron tablets and Albendazole tablets under NDD program, assist departments in planning for all 3 districts as per stated directives, advocate at district/block level for budget allocation and program implementation, visit schools and Anganwadi in the region along with department officials for successful implementation of the program to give suggestions to the district block and state for necessary improvements, identify actionable issues and locations and take corrective action.
  • Efforts to strengthen the implementation of Anaemia Mukt Bharat and NDD programme as per operational and financial guidelines and reporting of the same in HMIS portal.
  • Represent evidence based action in collaboration with representatives from regions/districts/blocks, State Government departments - Health, Education, Women and Child Development, Private School Association office bearers and other stakeholders to strengthen existing platforms DHS, DCCM for better inter-departmental coordination.
  • Lead task force meetings at district and block level with officials to ensure that training on IFA/NDD programme is accessible to all level of service providers, implement training guidelines from district/block level and monitor their implementation.
  • During my tenure as RC I have helped the Health Department in improving various health programmes including NCD, Sickle Cell Anemia, Swasth Sakhi, and Routine Immunization System for pregnant women and children from birth to 16 years.
  • Enabling district officials to follow state directives and assist the department in other programmes assigned by the state.
  • As we were available as a better facilitator for program planning management and implementation from region to district and district to state through independent field visits, as a monitoring strategy for successful implementation of the program, program awareness, supply chain, IFA consumption and coverage reporting were improved by meeting monthly monitoring visit targets set by the national team.
  • And to make the IFA program successful in all private and government schools of tribal blocks in the year 2024, teachers were continuously oriented at school level, visited schools and conducted Bal Sabha with children and oriented them on topics like anemia, mental health, handwashing, personal hygiene, and life skills etc.
  • Achievements: Under the monitoring strategy for the successful implementation of the program, the awareness, supply chain, IFA consumption and coverage reporting of the program were improved by completing the monthly monitoring visit targets set by the National Team, and in the year 2024, IFA practice was successfully started in all private schools of tribal blocks.

  • As a District Program Manager in Rajgarh district, Madhya Pradesh, I was responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of maternal and child health programs across all six blocks of the district.

  • I conducted capacity-building training sessions for ICDS Supervisors, ASHA Sahyoginis, and ASHAs on critical components such as Home-Based Newborn Care (HBNC), Home-Based Young Child Care (HBYC), and Complementary Feeding, with a focus on improving service delivery and community health outcomes.
  • In addition, I supervised a team of six Block Coordinators by developing their Annual Task Plans (ATP), guiding their field activities, and monitoring progress through regular visits.
  • I was responsible for compiling and analyzing Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs), which were submitted to the State Program Manager and Regional Program Manager to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • My role required strong interdepartmental coordination, strategic planning, and on-ground program monitoring to ensure alignment with UNICEF-supported frameworks and state-level public health priorities.

  • I was responsible for planning and executing door-to-door vaccination drives, especially in communities with high resistance, focusing on women, children, and the elderly.
