• Supervised and led the team to oversee customs clearance and inspection processes, ensuring adherence to both UK and EU customs regulations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customs-related inquiries and issues from stakeholders, including importers, exporters, brokers, and regulatory authorities.
• A solid understanding of UK and EU customs rules and regulations. Good knowledge of HMRC systems and systems used by other government departments both in the UK and EU. (ex. EMCS, ICS, TRACES NT, GVMS).
• Completely internal audits for customs as well as handled audits requested by Irish Revenue. Communicated accordingly with warehouse management for bonded goods for audit purposes.
• Involved in Cargowise one implementation to test the new system for warehouse management and customs clearance process.
• Develop and deliver training programs for team on customs procedures, regulations, and use of customs software systems.

• Proficiently manage the end-to-end lifecycle of ocean freight shipments, including booking, documentation, tracking, and final delivery.
• Proactively resolve operational challenges related to ocean freight, such as container delays and cargo damage, to maintain high customer satisfaction and minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate effectively with ocean carriers, vendors, and 3PL to secure competitive rates, schedule shipments efficiently, and address deviations from planned schedules through robust tracking and monitoring systems.
• Negotiating competitive freight rates and contractual terms with ocean carriers and vendors to achieve cost optimization without compromising service standards.
• Ensuring all ocean freight shipments comply with international regulations, including customs requirements, import/export restrictions, and hazardous materials regulations.

• Able to handle shipments (inbound, return, packaging order) related issues such as delivery/return/claim occurs during scheduling and able to provide quick workaround in order control the issue (Road, Sea, Air).
• Monitored and worked on the TMS / CMS applications, customs application like MIC CUST , MIC OCS.
• Worked with purchasing team regularly to deliver and implement tariff administration (quotations) for supplier quarterly.
• Created routes with help of transport mode and means of transport for involved suppliers and carrier. Delivered analysis into excel sheet and uploaded in system.
