Joined NAL in 2022 as design engineer and worked for HAP subscale project handled Vertical Tail.
Started with making tool for the Vertical Tail such as main spar,rear spar and other components of the HAP.And worked in hyper mesh 1d element stick model for HAP. Present working on SARAS wing participated on tooling for the Radom,rear fuselage, Access cover. And worked on wire harness. Design for the nose rib and firewall. Thermodynamic analysis on saras radome and HAP fullscale tools.Having total 2yrs experience in NAL.
WORK EXPERIENCE :
At Detail Design and CAD center, Advanced Composites Division, National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) Bangalore as Contract Engineer. (December, 2022 – present):
1. High Altitude Pseudo Satellite (HAPS):
· Design of HAP subscale composite parts and metal tool for the component.
· Experienced on fabrication of HAP subscale composite parts.
· Parameterization model for HAPS full Scale NMG in CATIA V5
· Detail design and 3D modelling of Control Surface using CATIA V5
· Design & Development of Metal Tool Concepts forHAP
· 2D drawings and Drafting of Composite parts, Metal Tools, Assembly fixtures.
· Performed finite Element Analysis of aircraft components using hyper mesh, MSC-Nastran Software.
· Linear static Analysis of Adhesive Bonding strength of Wing Spar.
· Stick model analysis Fuselage & Fin (1D FEM): Worked on mathematical calculation of moment of inertia for converting 3D CAD model to equivalent 1D FEM model. Analyzed results such as displacement & frequency.
· Linear static analysis of composite Aircraft Fuselage & Vertical Fin, Wing, and horizontal tail (2D FEM): Analysed results such as displacement, stress (failure index), Performed linear buckling analysis to identify critical load point (to determine the load point at which the material experiences maximum stress).
· HAP full scale propeller analysis (static and buckling analysis).
· HAP propellor FEA analysis- Meshing and Structural Analysis
· HAP Full Scale Main Spar Tool Analysis-Self Weight, Thermal Expansion, Effect of Vacuum, Impact on fasteners, Elemental Force Calculation on fasteners.
2. SARAS 19-seater Civil aviation aircraft:
· Composite tool Design with Backup structure: Tool for Rear fuselage, Radom, Access cover of wing.
· Simulating and analysis of Saras Radome Tool under Autoclave.
· Wire harness design to transmit electrical power and signals within a product.
· Weight reduction concept for the aircraft.
· Firewall design concept for SARAS MK-II.
3. LCA Radome Tool Analysis:
· Thermal, Static structural Analysis, impact of Self Weight of Tool of LCA Radome.

During Die casting process, the cast component sticks to the mould due to chemical interaction or mechanical interaction. To remove cast component the device called die adhesion testing rig was fabricated. And to calculate the amount of force required to eject the component.
