• Prepare the test bed setup, which involves establishing hardware connections, zoning, installing the OS on the server, and updating the firmware and driver of the test controller.
• Execute test cases using tools like Workbench for VMware, HCK/HLK for Windows, and ACK for Citrix.
• Problem analysis and issue reporting in JIRA instance.
• Providing workarounds for raised bugs and discussing with the dev team.

Storage Eco-Systems Testing – Regression (HPE)

• Prepare a Visio diagram of the test configuration.
• Prepare test bed setup for SAN and Direct Connect configurations, which involves installation of OS on the servers, creating and configuring virtual machines, updating firmware and drivers of all the devices in the server, zoning FC/FCoE WWNs in the switch, discovering the host, and mapping LUNs in the array. Discover mapped LUNs in the host.
• Configure the host and virtual machines for Hazard and CAST.
• Stress the storage subsystems with the Hazard tool using CAST.
• Execute test cases on supported storage protocols like FC, iSCSI, SAS, and FCoE.
• Problem Analysis, Problem Reporting, and document the bug fixes made.
• Use ALM and QUIX to update test progress and to log issues.
• Prepare Weekly Status Report and Closure report.

• Create, review and integrate test suite into the execution list, aligning with the new features set for delivery in the upcoming release cycle
• Conducting performance run to evaluate the product efficiency (IOPS, CPU and Memory utilization) across previous releases and presenting the result with a broader team
• Validating powerpath with numerous VMware features including HA-DRS, vMotion, VUM, AutoDeploy, vLCM, VCF and cluster-MSCS across SCSI, iSCSI and NVMe protocols
• Leading the driver signing activity with VMware, is a key element in the successful GA of the product
• Creating new testcases for automation runs which involves developing steps, coding and logic review
• Automating the testcase, execution with Jenkins, triage of result and the fixing automation code issues
• Documenting the test results, overseeing defect tracking and maintaining testcase database to contribute continuous improvement and add value to both product and the team
