Project Description:

• The Customer Master Data project focuses on building and enhancing a centralized, enterprise-wide system that manages all customer-related data across John Deere’s global business units.
• The project aims to improve data accuracy, streamline integrations, and ensure consistent customer data availability across ERP, CRM, sales, dealer systems, and downstream applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Developed and enhanced components within the Customer Master Data platform, including APIs, backend services, and data models, supporting enterprise customer data processes.
• Implemented data validation rules, transformation logic, and quality checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of global customer master records.
• Built and supported system integrations between customer master systems and downstream applications (ERP, CRM, dealer systems, and sales platforms) through APIs, ETL pipelines, and middleware tools.
• Collaborated with product owners, business analysts, and functional stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Conducted unit testing, integration testing, and supported UAT cycles, ensuring adherence to CI/CD deployment processes across environments.
• Troubleshot and resolved production issues related to data discrepancies, integration failures, or system performance.

Project Description:

• Asset Management (AM) is an Enterprise Data Management (EDM) platform. MarkitEDM is one of the key components of AM's strategic architecture and provides core operational and reference data to our global (and regional) business applications and services.
• Data management services, including data consolidation, exception management, and integration capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• As part of the sustainability program at HSBC, I played a major role in upgrading the MarkitEDM version from v9.5 to v18.2.
• Standardize data received from multiple back office systems (like Bloomberg, Morningstar, RIMES, FITCH, MOODY, S&P, etc.) and align that data to the Global IT Data Standards.
• Extensively utilized Markit EDM (CADIS) core components for designing complex and dependency-heavy workflows.
• Provide tools for global data management to manage data exceptions.
• Developed automated email notification mechanisms for exceptions and completion updates for business users and support teams.
• Provide cleansed and enriched data to CRD and other downstream systems.
• Ensured adherence to best practices across the development lifecycle, with strong technical and functional expertise in CADIS/Markit EDM.

Project Name: Procurement.

Duration: 3 months.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Involved in ETL development for creating mappings and transformations using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Work closely with the business leads to understand customers' requirements and take appropriate steps to implement them in the application development.
• Developed mappings that perform extraction, transformation, and loading of source data into the derived masters schema using various power center transformations like source qualifier, aggregator, filter, router, sequence generator, lookup, rank, joiner, expression, stored procedure, SQL, and update strategy to meet business logic in the mappings.
• Extensively used Update Strategy and Lookup transformations for updating the target tables.
• Used the mapping parameter to make the mapping more flexible.
• Used UNIX to navigate around the system and check for specific files, the files' content, change permissions, etc.
• Involved in creating shell scripts and Python scripts.
• Involved in deployment activities for deploying the code across all the environments.
• Investigating and fixing the bugs that occurred in the production environment.

Project Name: AEGON Asset Management Services

Duration: 2.3 years.

Project Description:

AEGON is a global asset management firm, and the Investment Data Warehouse (IDW) serves as AAM’s central repository for reporting. The IDW (EIDW/NIDW) collects financial and market data from multiple investment source systems through daily, IT-managed processes. The data is cleansed, transformed, validated, and stored in a unified location, providing business units with a consolidated view for cross-asset-class reporting. Business Objects is used to query data within the warehouse.

IDW consists of two systems:

• EIDW (Existing Investment Data Warehouse): A legacy system in use for many years, operated using Informatica ETL processes, and Oracle stored procedures.
• NIDW (New Investment Data Warehouse): A modernized system designed to address EIDW limitations by replacing Oracle stored-procedure-based processes with Informatica components.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Involved in creating design documents, such as HLD, LLD, and unit test case documents.
• Involved in business requirement meetings across different levels of the project.
• Understanding the ETL Specification Documents for mapping requirements.
• Extract data from multiple sources, like flat files and databases.
• Extensively worked on Informatica tools such as Source Analyzer, Transformation Designer, Mapplet Designer, and Mapping Designer to design, develop, and test mappings and other related components to load data from external flat files and RDBMS.
• Created mappings using transformations such as the Source Qualifier, Aggregator, Expression, Lookup, Router, Filter, Joiner, Union, Sequence Generator, and Update Strategy.
• Creating reusable transformations and using them in mapping.
• To keep track of historical data, slowly changing dimensions are implemented.
• Involved in migration activities for migrating the code across environments.

Project Name: Data Warehouse Impact Analysis Project.

Project Description:

• Led impact analysis and implementation of enhancements to the existing data warehouse and ETL processes in response to evolving client analytical requirements.
• Updates included introducing new tables, modifying data load frequencies, enabling reporting across additional hierarchy levels, and updating schema elements such as column additions, data types, and field sizes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Understanding and analyzing the existing Informatica code.
• Understanding the ETL logic and identifying the changes required to handle the new Data Warehouse design.
• Debugging the existing code.
• Creating an impact analysis report, mentioning the components that need to be changed, and the efforts needed to make the changes.
