Company Overview: Bitwise provides services to Global Payments, which offers payment processing services to merchants, allowing them to accept credit and debit cards, along with other payment types; this role is known as a merchant acquirer.
Developed and maintained secure and scalable data pipelines on GCP to process global payment transaction data.
Implemented solutions using BigQuery, SQL, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
Ensured compliance with PCI DSS and other payment industry standards through robust security controls and data encryption mechanisms.
Extensively used SQL queries to verify and validate the data coming from different sources with the help of BigQuery, Airflow, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Storage.
Worked on creation of BigQuery Datasets, Tables, Views, Materialized Views.
Implemented SCD Type 1 and SCD Type 2 methodologies in clinical tables loading, to keep historical data in the data warehouse.
