ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance Management: Evaluate the procurement cost of the spare parts based on the approved budget
- Identify the vendors for spare parts
- Participate in price negotiation for spare parts
- Define engineering store norms and ensure spare parts availability as per the norms
- Prepare preventive maintenance schedule based on OEM manuals for all the equipment’s
- Process Improvement Initiatives: Analyze root cause for the machine downtime (process issue,product issue etc with CAPA)
- Analysis the MTBF & MTTR.
- Identify the requirements of the equipment / engineering services to improve quality andreduce downtime / change-over time
- Prepare the action plan for the improvement initiative
- Modify the existing machinery to reduce the downtime and change-over time
- Conduct cost benefit analysis in case new machinery needs to be procured to reduce the downtime / change-over time
- Capacity Project Planning and Implementation: Participate in price negotiation with thevendors. Install / commission the equipment at plant
- Evaluate the equipment on various performance parameters during commissioning
- Production Execution: Deploy resources to production team with respect to machinery upkeepand reduction in downtime
