Work History

PhD-Senior Research Fellow

ACTREC, Tata Memorial Centre
Navi Mumbai
10.2017 - Current
  • Got 1st rank in the ACTREC-TMC entrance exam and Interview (2017).
  • Qualified CSIR-JRF entrance exam (AIR-35), December 2017.
  • Took multi-dimensional approach for my thesis work: structural insights validated in in-vitro breast cancer (BC) cell lines and in-vivo orthotopic BC mice models
  • Worked on an un-proven hypothesis and established HER2 positive BC cell lines in the lab
  • Developed and characterized trastuzumab and neratinib resistant HER2 positive BC cell lines in the lab
  • Established orthotopic HER2 positive BC mice models
  • Established protein degradation technology TRIM-Away/ TRIM-ing in BC cells to address HER2 & HER3 biology
  • Learned and analysed in-silico Molecular Dynamic simulation data to address the hypothesis for the project.
  • Won EACR congress 2022 Bursary award to present 'HER2 interaction domain mutations in breast cancer patients are responsible for receptor switch and therapy failure against HER2 targeted medicines'. Pranay Dey, et. al. . European association of cancer research (EACR) congress 2022 held in Seville, Spain.
  • Collaborated and oversaw studies of Juniors, documented data and extrapolated results.
  • Generated high-quality, professional papers in collaboration for submission to scientific publications.
  • Currently working with different Faculties (Dr. Ashok Varma & Dr. Pritha Ray) and students in ACTREC, TMC to answer their specific biological questions.
