- Responsible for creating and enhancement of the existing JCL process. Created many JCL process to implement new functionality. Same above procedure is followed for JCL process as well except after ‘UAT ok’, Production changes are done using ‘Service Now’ Application.

- I am part of Mainframe Developer team, which is engaged to provide continuous enhancement for the existing codes and developing the new codes based on the customer’s requirement.
- Having hands-on experience in Card Payment processing (CAMS II) deals with VISA, MASTERCARD, and AMEX & ISO with in-depth technical and business knowledge.
- In the COBOL we are almost using all the functionalities to develop new codes to fulfill the requirements.
- To provide the input for the COBOL program we are using DB2 Tables, DB2 database, VSAM which are the sources to provide data to process the COBOL Programs.
- In DB2 Relational database, the existing tables are used for the development and enhancement purpose.
- As standard we are using Sequential Query Language (SQL) to retrieve and store data’s in the DB2 tables.
- The Xpeditor and DTCN are inbuilt tool available in Mainframe to check the codes lines by line to make sure the syntax and other functionalities performance by the way of checking the codes line by line.
- Regression Testing: Test the application functionality with different set of specs and other inputs as defined separately.
- Knowledge of software testing and SDLC.
- CICS Online Screens: Checking the transaction screens by providing several kinds of inputs and checking its functionality against the inputs and recording the same.
- Having knowledge on mainframe development is helping to complete the testing sooner and the full understanding of the package has to be delivered.
