Title: Smart Charging Station Ecosystem with Real-Time Availability and Seamless User Experience
To design and validate a scalable EV charging ecosystem that addresses key adoption barriers such as range anxiety, charger availability, inconsistent payments, and infrastructure unreliability. The goal was to increase user satisfaction and adoption by enabling real-time visibility, ease of access, and operational predictability.
- Conducted user research through interviews with 10 EV owners to identify real-world challenges with existing charging infrastructure.
- Synthesized findings into an Empathy Map and Value Proposition Canvas, identifying critical user pains: long wait times, charger unavailability, and unclear pricing.
- Defined MVP hypothesis focused on reducing charging friction via live availability tracking, reservation system, and uptime assurance.
- Designed key features including:
Real-time charger availability + reservations
IoT-enabled predictive maintenance and user reporting
Universal multi-plug fast chargers
Unified contactless payment system
Add-on services (car wash, food kiosks, etc.)
- Developed a phased execution plan:
Phase 1: Urban pilot with 3–5 smart hubs
Measured KPIs: wait time, uptime %, user satisfaction, app downloads
- Validated MVP via customer feedback loops, proving product-market fit
- Built investor and partner pitch narrative around reducing range anxiety, enabling fleet conversion, and ecosystem scaling
Module-2 UX/UI Product Design

Title: VOLTIFY – EV Charging at Your Fingertips
To create a user-centric mobile app that simplifies the EV charging experience through intuitive UI/UX. The objective was to reduce user anxiety, improve discoverability of chargers, and increase app trust through design.
- Defined user goals and frustrations through qualitative interviews and user persona development
- Created the full UX flow using the 5S Design Framework:
Strategy: Developed personas, journey maps, and UCD canvas
Scope: Defined feature feasibility and user needs
Structure: Mapped user flows and information architecture
Skeleton: Built wireframes (low & high fidelity)
Surface: Finalized UI palette, typography, and interactive elements
- Key features designed:
Live charger map with availability indicators
Slot reservations and route guidance
Real-time charging session tracking
Instant issue reporting + help integration
Unified payment gateway with cost breakdown
- Built high-fidelity prototype in Figma and tested flow for booking, charging, and monitoring
- Applied AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for user insights and copywriting while ensuring manual UX decisions shaped user flow and content hierarchy
