Wireless LOW energy pulse oximeter for patient health Monitoring
In this project we design and develop a pulse oximeter prototype which measures the pulse/heart rate and transmit data wirelessly to be set up in primary health systems With the measurement of Oxygen Saturation in blood (sp2) the percentage of oxygen carried in blood is measured. The hemoglobin in blood is also measured as it is saturated with the oxygen in the blood. Pulse is read from the arteries which is nothing but the heart rate in terms of Beats Per Minute(BPM). This prototype measures the parameters and displays the two parameters on the LCD display and also sends it wirelessly using Bluetooth technology.
