I am a Fashion Designer. I was associated with United World Institute of Design,
Karnavati University.
I graduated from Pearl Academy, Delhi and went on to study
Innovative Pattern Cutting at Central Saint Martins, London.
I went to do Masters in Couture (Alta
Moda) at Accademia Costume e Moda, Rome.
Since 2014, I have been Working,Interning and developing projects with various brands
and NGO’s.
Interned at Nino Bollag (Berlin) in 2013 for their Paris Fashion Week collection.
I have been Teaching and Mentoring students in various design schools in India and Bhutan.
During the Masters in Couture, I had the opportunity to develop a project with the Balenciaga
Museum in Getaria, Spain. Interned at Nicoli Riccami in Rome, Italy. Developed a Fashion
Collection with Luigi Verga at Lake Como, Italy. Developed a design project with the legendary
couture brand Valentino.
I have been working with Indian textiles and crafts since 2011, Started a clothing line
called Papiya by Prateek to explore Indian Traditional Textiles from a contemporary perspective.
Areas of interest are design process, textiles development, creative pattern cutting, Innovative
draping approach, Carnatic Music and Poetry.
