Economic Planning & Scheduling: Product schedular, Light Distillates (Gasoline, Naphtha & Aromatics)

• Provide the cost of switching among various grades of gasoline to extract maximum value with market fluctuations using the Shell blender.
• Regularly coordinate with the supply group for berthing schedule preparation, the trading group to identify impacts for spot cargoes, the offsite group for material transfers, tank certification, and line conversions, the technical services group for initiating process changes and the feasibility of new product grades, and the commercial group to ensure adherence to regulatory procedures.
• Provide inputs to the planning team for the monthly and annual plan, and retro analysis.
• Ensure cargo availability during the allotted window, minimize demurrage on vessels, minimize quality giveaway, meet commercial compliance, and provide shutdown windows for process units in the refinery.
• Manage light distillate inventory in the refinery with 2 months of forward planning, and show product availability to trading within a 5-day window for product commitment. Look for further opportunities to introduce new grades in the market, which can fetch better value.
• Ensure optimum operation of naphtha hydro-treaters, hydro crackers, and at Jamnagar refinery. Identify constraints in units, and drive debottlenecking projects.
• Prepare the COP (Cost of Production) for gasoline barrels for export in the market.
• Giving production targets for aromatics – PX, OX, and BZ, and scheduling the lifting of cargoes to ensure final products always remain at bust level.
• Prepare a forward 60-day outlook for gasoline, naphtha – domestic and export.

Operations Management: Light Naphtha Hydrotreater, LPG, Gasoline, and Kerosene Merox and Flare System.

• Monitor product sample results, and take corrective actions against deviations. Monitor chemical consumption. Achieved production targets, adhering to the product quality management policy.
• Executing MOC after detailed engineering, and participated in PSSR activities.
• Handling plant emergencies and studying the cause-and-effect analysis in the hydrogen complex, thereby increasing the effectiveness of the plant emergency response team.
• Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment management systems by continuous monitoring and performing audits.
• ASA batch preparation for ATF production for required conductivity (inventory, stocks, and chemicals).
• Member of the risk-based investigation team: Active participant in new modifications and revamping programs.
• Review the SOP and preparation of risk assessments (HITRA) as per the defined frequency.
• Preparation of daily reports on the plant performance highlights, raw materials, utilities, and chemical/catalyst consumption.
• Implemented control of work: cold work, hot work, line break, and confined space permits.
• Effective contribution in the LNUU revamp project from 30 to 35 KBPSD: Installation of 2 charge pumps and required line modifications, and member in self-check and level 2 pre-startup safety review.
