Project - Birla Niyaara (Worli, Mumbai)
Highrise residential Complex Tower A & B (280m & 180m) with Retail, Clubhouse Tower & Sports Block Tower.
A) Mechanical (HVAC) Design
1. Load Calculations: Perform detailed cooling and heating load calculations using software like HAP or Carrier E20 to determine HVAC system requirements.
2. System Design: Design ductwork layouts, chilled water systems, VRF/VRV systems, and ventilation strategies tailored to building usage and climate.
3. Equipment Selection: Choose appropriate HVAC equipment (AHUs, FCUs, chillers, and exhaust fans) based on performance, efficiency, and space constraints.
4. Code Compliance: Ensure designs meet ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, and local building codes.
5. Coordination: Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into building layouts.
B) Plumbing and Fire Protection.
1. Water Systems: Design domestic water supply, hot water systems, and drainage layouts, including pipe sizing and pump selection.
2. Rainwater Harvesting: Integrate sustainable water reuse systems, stormwater management, and.
3. Fire Safety: Design fire sprinkler systems, hydrant networks, and fire alarm layouts in compliance with NFPA and NBC standards.
C) Project Management & Coordination
1. Client Interaction: Attend meetings, present design concepts, and incorporate client feedback into final deliverables.
2. Site supervision: Conduct site visits to verify installation quality, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to design.
3. Team Leadership: Guide junior engineers and drafters, review their work, and ensure timely delivery of design packages.
4. Value Engineering: Propose cost-effective alternatives without compromising performance or safety.
1. Preparation of technical data sheets (TDS) & submitting the same for approval from consultant.
2. Highlighting any ambiguities found during detailed designing with respect to the sales BOQ.
3. Indenting material as per approved drawings with proper backup of the quantification for future reference of project team.
4. Maintain proper record of all above work in proper format for future reference both in digital and physical.
