  • Currently working as SW PE for Balsam, Aurora, Bonsai and Aliso Chipsets.
  • In the last 17 years with Qualcomm (QIPL), I have served as SW PE for multiple value tier chipsets like Mannar, Rennell, Starhawk, 8x26 and some more.
  • Very recently have started looking into Balsam as well.
  • I started my career in Qualcomm as a target lead for Brew 7x family chipsets.
  • Worked on 90 nano meter and 60 nano meter versions and then moved to 7x27A which was completely done in India from software perspective.
  • Later worked on A and B family chipsets and supported San Diego SW PE's and then got my final PE break on MDM 9x07 Lykan chip.
  • Since then, have been a SW PE for multiple MSM's mentioned earlier.
  • I also manage a small team of 20 engineers.
  • We are responsible for maintaining PDT automation and test frameworks.
  • This software is used to test 200-500 devices per software product across all Qualcomm sites.
  • We have automation and framework for all Android, Windows, Chrome, Modem and Auto chipsets.
  • Off late we are developing automation test framework for XR chipsets.
  • Some key developments that we are working on are 1) Enhancing the PDT test automation and framework for Auto and XR domains.
  • 2) Use of AI for issue reproduction in PDT on demand
  • 3) Use of AI to ensure optimal coverage in PDT.
  • 4) We have developed a tool called Dragon Glass that is being used in SD and QIPL by PDT and WLAN folks extensively. Some exclusive features of this tool is it can write test cases for you and auto verifies it as it's being written. PDT engineers have started using this tool recently.

  • Development of GPRS Network Component For NOKIA.
  • The project involves development of PCU for the NOKIA NETWORKS.
  • This PCU is an element of the NOKIA BSC.
  • It supports EGPRS and EQOS features as per REL99.
  • I was responsible for the following: Involvement in the design phase of the product. (Especially the scheduler portion which was residing on DSP's), Development, enhancement and maintenance of MAC layer.
  • The software is a real time application running over a real time OS.
  • System integration and end-to-end testing using full network components at customer site.

  • The project involved the development of a GPRS Packet Gateway Network Simulator (PGNS) for Mobile Satellite Communication system.
  • PGNS simulates SGSN and a part of BSS functionality, hiding Gb interface.
  • It provides advanced and powerful features of API based Suppression, Trapping, Logging, Tracing, Scripting, Command Line Interface, LabVIEW Interface along with Stack functionality.
