Accomplishments
- Member of the Energy Management team in curing (ISO 50001:2011) and obtained an internal auditor certificate, and also reduced the steam consumption ratio from 3.2 mt/ton to 1.8 mt/ton
- Reduce cure tire scrap from 3.2% by number in 12,000 tires per day to 1.2% by doing 10 kaizen events and improving operator skills
- Applied POKA YOKE on the GT painting machine to control green tire scrap, which reduced GT scrap from 700 kg to 50 kg per month
- By introducing a new FIFO system in curing to improve cure tire quality
- Improve bladder consumption from 450 kg/MT to 714 kg/MT in BKT plant
- Improve the curing efficiency from 89% to 94% by improving daily production from 125 MT/day to 350 MT/day, and our target is the end of Dec 2020 to achieve 450 MT/day production with 94% productivity in the BKT Bhuj tyre plant
- Reduce cure tire scrap in the BKT Bhuj plant from 0.25% to 0.10% by a trained new operator with a higher skill level, which will save 0.65 crore Rs for the company
- Improve productivity from 84 kg/mandays to 94 kg/mandays
- Around 50 Kizan have been done in curing with CFT for reducing scrap, defects, and operator MURI
- Currently, I work on implementing Lean manufacturing in the Curing, Painting, and FID departments
- Won second prize in Chitransh (play) during the annual cultural festival of the college
- Won second prize in the robotics competition held during the annual technical festival of the college
