Projects

Investigation of Protective Effects of Naringin Against DSS-Induced Gut Inflammation in Zebrafish,   2025-12|2026-04

PSG College of Arts & Science,  Guide: Dr. Sakthivel K M

  • Established DSS-induced colitis model in zebrafish larvae; evaluated Naringin across multiple concentrations (OECD-guided),
  • Performed histological staining: Acridine Orange, Alcian Blue, Neutral Red, DCFH-DA, Ran biochemical assay panel: NO, LPO, SOD, CAT, GSH,
  • Results showed dose-dependent reduction in oxidative stress and intestinal inflammation

Targeted Molecular Docking of Flavonoids Against Glutathione Reductase (3GRS),  2026-04

  • Curated a library of IBD-relevant flavonoids: Naringin, Naringenin, Quercetin, Kaempferol, Luteolin,
  • Prepared protein (OpenBabel) and ligands (RDKit); docked at Cys58 & Cys63 using AutoDock Vina,
  • Built complete Python-based pipeline in Google Colab for automated docking, result extraction, and PyMOL visualization

Internship

Clinical Biochemistry Intern (On-job training) June 2025 | 15 Days

PSG Hospitals and Diagnostics Centre, Coimbatore

  • Gained hands-on exposure to serum/plasma sample processing and Cobas analyser (ISE, c503, e801) operations
  • Assisted in QC documentation and safety protocol adherence in a regulated diagnostic lab
