1. Mounting bracket design work:

  • Working on casting bracket and sheet metal bracket design for SCR assembly.
  • Worked on Pugh matrix for concept selection & discussed same with cross functional team.
  • Performed designer level sim solid analysis to select the best concept which is stronger from structural point of view.
  • Finalized concept based on manufacturing feasibility, structural strength, cost optimization & customer integration feasibility.
  • In process to file IP for selected concepts

2. BSV CEV 9-inch Aftertreatment System work (Off Hwy applications):

  • Worked on ATS design integration to meet BSV emission norms. Reviewed the status of the Design and analysis readiness and gain the cross-functional agreement of TLAs, Module assemblies and components used in ATA Configurations to move forward with D-Phase release.
  • Worked on design concept to resolve manufacturing issue for weld overlap of two assemblies, visited plant site to witness the issue, conducted DFM discussion with ME team. Performed required analysis to check the performance impact due to design change solution.
  • Communicated effectively with suppliers for DQR closures, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality components required for successful product assembly.
  • Worked on mixer component fitment issue due to interference fit for two parts. Re reviewed the DVAs, updated tolerance on the print and completed DQR DFM discussions with supplier & ME team.
  • Identified opportunities for cost reduction through material selection and process optimization, increasing profitability without compromising quality.
  • Developed comprehensive design documentation, facilitating seamless transition from concept to production phase.

3. Launched 6 sigma project:

  • Completed 6S yellow belt certification.
  • Working towards closure for the first 6S project for green belt certification.
  • 6S project – optimized canning design - Actively working with sourcing to identify low-cost Mat mount material which will meet the technical requirements as well as help with cost reduction for the Aftertreatment Assembly.
  • Actively working with two suppliers for Mat material selection. Working on DOE to identify the best proposed solutions and completed Mat calculations. Recived ESW owner approval for PVAL-1 documentation.
  • Developed as SMS/SME for canning assembly design, Tech adviser for Mat mount related queries within Design team.

4. Expertise in sheet metal components and design.

  • Worked on different sheet metal sensors support bracket design for many programs as per different customer requirements based on available space claim. Performed vibration analysis in Sim solid, Pugh Matrix for concept selection, cost efficient design selection, DQR completion with Supplier and released the design & prints in PLM.
  • Worked on seven step FIRG (Failure incident) report to resolve the sensor support bracket failure during PSD test. Implemented the solution in design as per the outcome of FIRG.
  • Visited supplier plant to understand the manufacturing process of sensor support bracket through different sheet metal operations.

  • Handled complete design development and release of ATS design for on highway and off highway applications, to meet BSIV CEV, EURO VI & BSVI emission norms.
  • Developed iDFMEA (integrated design failure mode and effect analysis) through multiple rounds of discussion with cross functional team to define design control prevention/detection/re ranking for HIGH RPN action items.
