Joined Otis (UTC group company) in 2007 and got to work in multiple UTC companies – OTIS, Carrier and Chubb. Total13 years of experience in various progressive roles in UTC. In April 2020, Otis and Carrier got split from UTC as an independent company. Including post split period, total 16 years of experience in UTC and Carrier together.

Transferred to the corporate office of Building and Industrial system (BIS) reporting to President - BIS India. BIS vertical was created thru merger of OTIS and Carrier (two group companies of UTC).

• Led financial planning and analysis function for BIS business
• Identified and executed integration synergies between Otis and Carrier business
• Identified issues, analyzed information and provided solutions to problems.
• Executed special projects like Receivables benchmarking, Factory discounting policy, and Cost reduction programs.
• Delivered $3M integration savings thru leading cross functional integration team.

During the above tenure worked on various progressing finance positions in OTIS Elevators. Started OTIS Elevators journey in 2007 as Manager Finance, and was promoted to General Manager in my last role. In OTIS, the key job responsibilities were as below:

• Finance controllership – Statutory Audit, compliance with local and international accounting standards, direct tax, and SOXA compliance
• Contract accounting / POC accounting
• Estimation / Re-estimation/ Major projects review
• Treasury and Banking operations / Asset management - Implemented automated workflow for bank guarantees, online credit control and SMS 8.1 system for service billings and revenue
• Implemented online/ automation initiatives in accounts payable management

Led finance team of Intergulf limited, the largest manufacturer of PVC compounds, PET performs and closures in UAE. Intergulf is a part of “IFFCO” group, one of the largest business groups in UAE.

The job responsibilities includes controlling and reviewing treasury/banking operations, asset management, inventory management, financial accounting, auditing, financial planning, factory accounting, internal controls, payables management and new projects viability analysis.

Nicholas Piramal was one of the leading Indian pharmaceuticals company. The position here was that of business finance. This position was responsible for commercial activities of two business divisions of the company and was reporting to business head. The position was based at their corporate office in Mumbai.

Crompton Greaves was one of the leading private sector electrical engineering companies in India. The position was an accountancy role taking care of the monthly and quarterly closing of accounts. The position was based at their corporate office in Mumbai.

ACC is one of the leading cement manufacturing companies in India. Started my first post qualification job with them at their corporate office. The position was looking after the finance and accounts of their Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) business.
