• • Conduct research, develop new products, processes, and technologies, and improve existing products within the electroplating industry.
• • Operate and maintain a pilot line for decorative plating on plastic, encompassing processes such as cleaning, etching, activation, acceleration, electroless nickel, copper, and various nickel and chrome layers.
• • Troubleshoot plating baths by optimizing additives, carriers, wetting agents, brighteners, and levelers to achieve defect-free parts.
• • Prepare fresh plating baths, perform carbon treatment, and conduct chemical analysis of inorganic components using an auto titrator to maintain bath concentration.
• • Execute R&D experiments in the lab, including small-scale and Hull cell plating, and analyze results using XRF and visual inspection.
• • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including written records and electronic data in a dedicated notebook software.
• • Demonstrate proficiency in the operation and maintenance of various instruments, including CASS, thermal chambers, Fischer thickness/STEP, micro porosity testers, adhesion testers, form tracers, XRF, tensiometers, colorimeters, and gloss meters.
• Key Projects:
• • New Semi-Bright Nickel Process: Successfully lead the development of a new, cost-effective Semi-Bright Nickel process in collaboration with a team. This innovative process has demonstrated a 25% cost reduction compared to the existing chemistry and is currently undergoing successful beta testing at customer sites.
• • Antimicrobial Coating Development: Actively participate in the research and development of novel antimicrobial coatings. This project focuses on enhancing decorative coatings/POP with anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties.
• • Trichrome Ice Process Optimization: Contribute to the improvement of the existing Trichrome Ice process. This involves optimizing the chemistry to achieve haze-free deposition with the required thickness (0.1-0.25 microns), ensuring it meets the stringent quality standards of hexavalent bright chrome finishes.

Job Responsibilities:
• Identify and qualify potential customers through lead generation and prospecting activities.
• Develop strong relationships with customers to understand their technical needs and challenges.
• Analyse customer requirements for surface finishes, corrosion resistance, and other electroplating goals. Translate these needs into recommendations for suitable plating processes, electrolytes, and equipment configurations.
• Assist existing customers with troubleshooting electroplating process issues, identifying causes of defects or non-conforming finishes, and recommending corrective actions.
• Managed a diverse customer seeking solutions in various plating processes, including zinc flake coating, Deco POP, anodizing and phosphating.

Department: Plating Production.
• Profile work as production and development of Electroplating automotive Deco parts of Hex chrome, Tri chrome, different types of functional and shades of nickel, copper on material ABS/PC plastic and pre-treatment to it.
• Responsible for daily Production planning, Scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting of all types of defects and analyze data from production and engineering process runs, qualifying changes or additions to process flows to build the optimal plating on plastics production line.
• Controlling process operation considering lean manufacturing, productivity along with chemical and physical variable according to Process Parameter Sheet.
• Monitoring all the Chemical Analysis As per Control Parameter sheet and Preparation of standard volumetric solution
• ABS Raw material testing: Acetic Acid test
• Following all HSE regulations for maintaining safe work environment
• Inventory management for Plating line and Lab chemicals.
• Calibration of all instruments and apparatus.
• Contributed to new electroplating plant setup at Galva Deco parts Pvt ltd.
