As an IIM Kozhikode Alumni, currently serve as a Deputy Manager, spearheading the facilitation of an enabling ecosystem for innovations and start-ups with the principles of circular economy at the forefront. Primary objectives encompass promoting sustainable business models by providing unwavering financial, knowledge and technical support through inventive models of Blended Finance and establishing convergence with government schemes and existing industry initiatives.
inREPLACE is a 5-year joint program by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), being implemented by a consortium led by IPE Global. It aims to reduce plastic pollution, including in the marine environment, through improvements in solid waste management and advancing a plastics circular economy. The program will be piloted in select states and cities, to demonstrate strategies and interventions that are scalable and replicable.
Circularity Hub will facilitate an enabling ecosystem for innovations and Start-Ups with principles of circular economy at the forefront. Its primary objectives include promoting sustainable business models by providing financial & technical support through inventive models of Blended Finance and establishing convergence with government schemes & existing industry initiatives.
I am spearheading the mobilization of funds through various sources, ensuring alignment with inREPLACE program. Further, supporting the setting up of circularity hub to alleviate:
(a) providing financial resources (blended finance, recoverable grants etc.) to assist MSMEs/Startups in the implementation of plastic reduction/alternatives product innovations, plastic reduction business models, management, and community-level innovations through public/private partnerships
(b) Supporting the innovators/SMEs in establishing linkages with other Government schemes to augment funds directly or indirectly
(c)Strengthening the overall ecosystem by supporting the operational and capital expenditure needs of the private sector innovators and service providers and
(d) Productization and commercialization of innovations
(f) providing capacity building support till they reach a level of maturity.
A robust ecosystem, People, Private sector, and Public collaboration (P-3), the hub seeks to drive increased circularity in plastics, addressing plastic pollution.
