Projects

UDC PTS Aisle Optimization-

1. Developed Wave-Creation-Engine tool to Improve outbound throughput of upstream distribution centres by 10-15% without any CAPEX investment. The tool was used directly by the tech team with at least 6 waves created per DC per week to measure performance.

2. The project required multiple stakeholder management: UDC Operations, Capacity Management and Network Planning teams along with incorporating feedback loop from control tech team to increase adoption of the tool across all the 3 distribution centres


Apparel Network Strategy-

1. Redefine Apparel replenishment network design to improve Markdown. We were required to identify root causes under placement & positioning Markdown defects 

2. SPIS metric was developed to measure Guest Experience across Apparel since, the traditional Out Of Stock metric had several limitations 

3. Assortment classification was developed for Apparel to identify the right assortment to create policy decisions related to : item legalization and break-pack time


AOP Price Recommendation (Lowe's India Services Private Limited)-

1. Price recommendation at Item-Patch level for pricing managers and merchants based on competitive price positioning. 

2. Provided incremental margin impact due to the recommended price changes.


PRO KVI (Lowe's India Services Private Limited)-

1. A Business driven and analytical driven methodology that aims at classifying Items into groups: Super Head/Head/Core/Tail for PRO customers using Dimensions:  Association, Basket Driving Nature, Trip Driving Nature.

2. Lead the project along with collaboration with leadership to finalize a framework for the process utilized by the PRO team. 


Patch Clustering (Lowe's India Services Private Limited)- 

1. Clustering of Patches with dimensions: Customer Demographics, Volume of the Items and Competitor Presence using k-means clustering to help merchants/pricing   team make pricing decisions. 

2. Accuracy of clustering required analytical and business-sense validation. 


Cost to Price Report (Lowe's India Services Private Limited)-

1. A holistic report capturing annualized impact due to the cost changes and track equivalent price changes done to mitigate the margin pressure. 

2. Project required: cross team initiative to understand cost data, validation of source tables using legacy process, computation of impact and automation of weekly report. 


Tariff Measure of Success (Lowe's India Services Private Limited)- 

1. Built a robust report to track items (imported from China) undergoing cost changes due to increase in Tariff and measurement of Price Changes of Tariff and Portfolio Items : Ratio, Difference-In-Difference, Seasonality method. 

2. Automated Monthly report using SQL Assistant, SAS and Excel reporting. 


Data Envelopment Analysis (Mu-Sigma Business Solutions)-

1. Proposed an Industry wide technique to the clients for accurate ranking of units based on efficiency - Data Envelopment Analysis. 

2. This involved detailed understanding of their business to finalize on the metrics impacting the rank of DMUs and built DEA using Excel Solver.
