Tooling & Costing, Benchmarking, New Product Development, Sourcing, Vendor Selection, Cost Reduction Initiatives
Working with SQA for Process optimization, provide DFM & VAVE inputs to engineering for the new products
Reducing BOM cost through negotiation, proximity, VAVE, group buy, SOB, Payment terms, additional & alternate source developments for de-risking
Teardown analysis and benchmarking study other competitor model
Visiting factory, supplier assessment, sending RFQ, reviewing quote, reviewing technical proposals, negotiation, cost finalization, PO release, ensuring timely payment, capacity planning, managing inventory, product consistency and continuous improvement
Performing market analysis to select potential vendors, commodity price control for cost effective supply of quality products on time
Coordination with logistics for supply of materials on time, monitoring inventory controls & clearing stocks
Highlights: Implemented VAVE proposals in the Exhaust system resulted in savings of Rs 120 per bike which contributed 7.2Cr annual recurrence saving
