· Testing of the IMRO Workbenches – Exhaustive testing of the existing workbenches. This activity is for the annual release of the IMRO product which is aligned with the SAP release. Last project was SAP s/4 HANA 1909 release R6.
Development Team Management.
· Responsible for the Automotive Manufacturing Facility Setup - The assignment included overall sourcing and installation of Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, Flooring, Office, Safety, Machinery, Tools, Consumables, Safety etc items. Vendor selection & coordinated execution, streamlining logistics, Management Information Systems were the daily competencies to deliver the project in time & keeping the expanses within the budget. Audits handled – TS-16949, Nissan Vendor Equipment Audits, OHSAS (Health & Safety). Cost of the project – US $1.5 Million – (Year 2013).
· Managing the Process Engineering departments of two manufacturing plants. Sourcing of Machines, Spares, Consumables, Tools, Instruments and Inventory Management were the key roles. Budget Forecasting and managing spare inventory of more than 3500 parts comprising of Electrical/Mechanical machine spares, consumables, chemicals etc worth $ 1MN with monthly buying of US $10K from more than 25 Vendors located within India and abroad. Implementing inventory optimization techniques such as FIFO, Consumption Rates Analysis etc. Maintained major inventory at single location and setup of one sub store comprising of critical parts (Year – 2013).
· Leading a cross functional team for simultaneous setups of new business lines within the plant. Managed Sourcing and installation of equipment for wire harness manufacturing lines for Volkswagen, Nissan and General Motors. Time bound procurement of more than 5000 items with close coordination of vendors and the team. Key Suppliers were based in India (for Consumables), Germany, Switzerland, US & China. Reduced procurement time by developing parallel vendors in short span to reduce the time of machine parts development and manufacturing. Cost of Project – US $1.0 Million – (Year – 2012)
