Business Unit: Distribution Data (Distribution IT)

Business Unit Overview: Distribution IT oversees the onboarding, lifecycle management, and commission calculation and disbursement processes for distribution partners. Within this, Distribution Data serves as a strategic segment, responsible for fulfilling all reporting and analytical requirements related to partner operations and performance.

As an Architect, I lead and mentor 2 teams of data engineers in designing and delivering scalable, secure, and compliant data products aligned with enterprise-wide strategic objectives. I ensure that all data solutions adhere to best practices in data engineering, governance, and architecture—fostering trust, accessibility, and long-term maintainability.

• My role involves setting technical direction, enforcing standards, and driving innovation in data pipeline development to support future-ready analytics and business intelligence capabilities.
• Leading the development and execution of the enterprise data strategy, including the enterprise data foundation
• Conducting design reviews and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to define technical direction and validate solutions
• Spearheading the Data and AI Literacy Program to elevate organizational capabilities and adoption
• Actively contribute to enterprise architecture reviews, providing strategic feedback and ensuring team alignment with architectural standards and compliance requirements.

As a Solution Lead, I championed the adoption of data mesh principles across the organization, onboarding leadership and enabling teams to build domain-oriented, scalable data solutions. I laid the technical foundation for Snowflake and AWS adoption, guiding a newly formed team toward engineering excellence. My responsibilities included translating end-user pain points into actionable work items, architecting solutions using C4 modelling, and making strategic tool and service choices. I ensured a clear big-picture vision was maintained, aligning our roadmap with enterprise goals and future scalability.

I also led the development of a Logical Data Warehouse (LDW) using Informatica and Denodo, overseeing data modelling, consumption strategies, and architectural design to support scalable and efficient data access.

As a Senior Software Engineer, I contributed to the mainframe team by implementing system enhancements, conducting rigorous testing, and delivering functional demos to stakeholders. I proactively identified opportunities for process optimization and led automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. My focus on continuous improvement and technical excellence laid the foundation for my transition into leadership roles.

At Capgemini, I focused on deepening my understanding of the insurance domain, particularly the various segments of the policy lifecycle. I played a key role in core development activities in mainframe while proactively identifying and implementing automation solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. My contributions laid a strong foundation in domain-driven development and process optimization.
