My journey has been a mix of technology, social service, and the arts - from designing a podcast to support young entrepreneurs to running a helpline for teens inspired by my own mental health struggles. I have a strong foundation in Kathak and Theatre, I'm driven by it's passion to connect people and make a difference. Recognized as a young entrepreneur, I believe in the power of collaboration - As a motivated student, I'm eager to apply classroom knowledge to real-world experiences, with a strong willingness to collaborate learning with a group of multitalented, multifaceted teenagers who want to create something new with a collaborative mindset, ready to bring fresh perspectives towards each subject.
Founder: I am the Founder of Khoj, a non-profit organization that now boasts a membership of 170+ versatile individuals. Spearheaded a team of 30+ individuals to launch 4 subcommunities. Hosted an independent Open Mic with 40+ performers and 200 audience members.
Khoj was warmly received by The Big Red Group. Listed in one of the '5 Entrepreneurs Who Made It Big As Teenagers'. "Khoj" is a digital hub for collaborative learning.
We're a group of multitalented, multifaceted teenagers who want to create something new with their knowledge together. As of today, Khoj has 4 notable creations : ( Let it be noted that I am the Director for each of the following too )
(1) Sanguine Records - is a music record label working for young, underrated hip-hop artists. We distribute their music and are responsible for all of their social media marketing, production of music videos, etc. We handpick our artists ( there are 9 artists currently ). We also host offline networking events for hip-hop artists.
(2) No Filter w/ Khoj - A podcast interviewing young entrepreneurs who have made it big as teenagers. An unfiltered conversation with people who can inspire our youth. We cover a very diverse range of guests, from influencers like Saadhamanus (72k + followers on Instagram) to discussing Cryptocurrency with a 19-year-old Google Developer Expert, to hip-hop revolution Vedang, etc.
(3) Buddyline - Buddyline is a chat helpline for teens, by teens. Inspired by my mental health struggles, I started this venture to help other people like me who are struggling but don’t have anyone who will listen to them unconditionally. We have a tie-up with renowned psychologist Dr. Radha Raaje, who guides us for this venture.
(4) Taksh - Taksh is a tech community for engineers. Phase 1 of Taksh includes helping future engineers solve their engineering projects by building a tight intellectual community.
We've also had study groups studying Indian Classical Music, Mythology, Psychology, and Astronomy among other subjects. You can check out their presentations on our YouTube channel. Apart from this, Khoj always has something exciting happening. Our community feeds our creations and we grow together.
I have been very much interested in the field of astronomy since 6th grade, I also have my own YouTube video of myself in the 9th grade explaining everything I had self-learned about the subject.
I have even started my own YouTube channel called Dear Science- in which I explain complex physics phenomena in a simple manner. Also check out my very first video, in which a 15-year-old Radha explains everything she has self-taught herself about astronomy.
