manufacturing (AM) process i.e. reducing overhangs in AM
parts. The aim of this work is to reduce the weight of
structures/Parts/Machine components, without hampering its
performance by Topology optimization method and
simultaneously making the optimized structures etc. to be easily
manufactured by AM process by overcoming AM manufacturing
constraints.

Thesis: “Comparative study of Isogeometric Analysis and
Finite Element Analysis”

Isogeometric Analysis (IGA) is applied to solve various structure
and heat transfer problems having complex geometry and
boundary conditions. The results obtained using is compared with
finite element results. The thesis sheds light on various
advantages of using IGA over FEM such as higher order
continuity and easy mesh refinements and less number of
degrees of freedom for same solution accuracy.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
About Teaching and Learning: My goal in teaching is to break a complex chapter in to parts. I try to explain each topic in simple language, giving analogies which relates to student’s life .Then combining parts to understand whole chapter. My goal is to make students curious and enhancing their abilities to learn new things themselves. I make my students imagine the physics behind equations. In mathematically involved topics I make my students to search for patterns and then explain to them why that pattern exists. I know that a teacher is likethe senior most student of the class and process of learning must never stop. I try to increase my knowledge and prepare before any class by revising the contents thoroughly before giving any lecture.
