Work Experience

One year of professional experience as a Special Educator at The Indian Public School in Chennai. 

  • Primarily involved in taking classes (NIOS) for students with Learning Disabilities and Behavioural issues.
  • Majorly involved in doing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monthly planners and evaluations for students.
  • Also, engaged in implementing Behavior modifications and interventions for children with special needs.

Projects

  • A STUDY ON ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCE AND PARENTING STYLES AND INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS AMONG YOUNG ADULTS: It is a Quantitative research study done using a Descriptive survey research design with 30 samples ranging in age from 21 to 35 years old.
  • A STUDY ON GRATITUDE, EMPATHY AND ALTRUISM AMONG YOUNG ADULTS: It is a Quantitative research study done with 398 participants from all over Chennai, ranging in age from 20 to 35 years in the young stage of life.

Publications

A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW ON ECO-ANXIETY: A qualitative research study employing a meta-analysis approach was conducted on the topic of eco-anxiety. The research involved an extensive review of various related articles to synthesize findings and draw comprehensive insights. This full paper meta-analysis study was published as part of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) webinar on Human Behaviour and Environmental Sustainability.

Certification

  • Completed three-month certificate course in Grief Therapy, authorized by ICPEM, at Psychoshiksha centre.
  • Completed three-month certificate course in Stress Management at NPTEL swayam website.

Achievements

  • Won Rashtrapati award & Rashtra Puraskar award in 2015 and 2017, respectively.
  • Won numerous District level chess tournaments and competed in State level chess tournaments. In addition, earned 1120 FIDE rating points in FIDE International chess federation.
  • Served as Chairperson for the Psychology department in 2019-2020 at PSG College of Arts and Science.
