  • To control ME processes, to ensure that production will be able to produce efficiently an ‘on quality’ and ‘on time’ new build product.
  • Interacting with employees in such a way, that they know the company’s aims, that they know their responsibility, and that they are motivated to perform their duties for ME and continual improvement
  • Report problems into the applicable systems and – in case the instructions are not followed will be affected – to the Site Manager.
  • Perform general activities specific to the department.
  • Perform all ME-activities that have been authorised to the site, to accomplish the ‘as prepared’- definition (also known as the Manufacturing Data Package) from out of an approved and released ‘as designed’-definition (also known as the Product Definition) either received from the Customer or from FE-Global/DE), in such a way that:
  • The instructions are fully compliant to the EWIS-standards as defined by FE-Global/ME in the BMS (e.g. using simplified English, NADCAP-compliant);
  • As much as possible re-usability of already available instructions, is accomplished;
  • The output meets the prescribed configuration;
  • The output is meeting the need for the lowest costs for Manufacturing to produce efficiently.
  • Also perform the ME-activities that have been authorised to the site, to accomplish the ‘as prepared’- definition (also known as the Manufacturing Data Package) in cases of out-located-work on new build products.
  • Drawing up ‘work package’-specifications for subcontracted (= outsourced) work (SPO to be used by Procurement) at external providers.
  • Implement the needed Quality Control measurements, to ensure that product quality is maintained and will be continuously improved in order to strive to zero defects.
  • Make sure that the PPAP-elements (e.g. Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis [incl. Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility studies], P-FMEAs) of the ME- and Manufacturing processes are maintained conform the defined standards (e.g. where applicable NADCAP compliant, in the instructions Simplified English is used).
  • Assist in MRB sessions, to determine the disposition on nonconforming processes and –products.
  • Follow up non-conformities appointed to ME and assure that containment, correction and necessary appropriate corrective- and preventive actions are being executed.
  • Assist FE-Global/ME in the set-up and maintenance of ME- and Manufacturing training material, and train the ME EWIS standards to the applicable employees.
  • Making proposals towards the engineering department for improvement of the product design.
  • Determine the most economical working method and discuss with FE-Global/ME about improving the ME-standards.
  • Specifying tooling in the instructions, determine whether enough tooling is available and initiate calibration management.
  • Drawing up the manufacturing bill of material (BOM) and determine the most efficient way of supplying materials (kits or WIP).
  • Technical support of manufacturing during proto type phase until the first article inspection.
  • Configuration control on all issued manufacturing documents and changes therein.
  • Informing the department purchasing of the BOM, where an initial need for materials and tooling is concerned.
  • Technical support during the manufacturing phase of an order to the operators and continuous improvement the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain the NADCAP-certificate(s), when applicable in the site.
  • Make sure that continual improvement of the ME-processes is established, by discussing the possible improvements on the ME-standards, with the FE-Global/ME process owner.
  • Follow up non-conformities that are related to customer complaints or NOEs that have been sent to the customer and assure that containment, correction and necessary appropriate corrective- and preventive actions are being executed.
  • Siemens Camster Enterprise Platform v7 SU5 MES implantation for aerospace manufacturing (Preparing workflows, objects using MES Loaders, Troubleshooting etc)
  • Report technical issues, errors and improvements in MDP documentation to Program ME
  • Ensure availability of all technical documents, and aids tooling in the required condition on the shop floor
