- Description: We designed a device for P&G that is used to assist users to take better Selfies
- This device is designed for iPhone 12
- It helps users take Polarized Selfies
- The device has inbuilt flash LEDs that will provide Light
- When the user clicks to take a selfie first the flash will trigger which will take a non-polarized selfie
- Then after some seconds an inbuilt motor will trigger that will bring a Polarizing film in front of both the Camera and the Flash (these polarizing films are cross polarized with respect to each other)
- After these films are in place another selfie is automatically triggered which will be a polarized selfie
- This polarized image is better than the non-polarized image
- Polarizing an image reduces the glare and bright spots that otherwise appear on our faces/ selfies and also makes the selfie look more natural
- Responsibilities: Review product design documents to fully understand device features and intended functionality
- Test the initial flash functionality to ensure it properly illuminates and captures non-polarized selfies
- Verify the automated triggering mechanism for taking the polarized selfie once the films are in place
- Ensure that the device communicates correctly with the iPhone 12 software for seamless operation
- Test for device performance under different lighting conditions to ensure consistent functionality.
